Tone is full and supported by excellent bow usage/pressure. The performance demonstrates mature concepts of tone production. Vibrato consistently used where appropriate.
Meets Expectations-B Level

Tone is full most of the time and supported with good bow usage/pressure. The performance demonstrates an at-level concept of tone production, and an effort is being made to improve. Limited use of vibrato where appropriate.
Near Expectations-C Level

Tone is full sometimes, the performance occasionally lacks the appropriate bow usage/pressure to create a good sound. Beginnings of vibrato may be present.

70% to 80% of the pitches are performed accurately. Student understands intonation, but is not yet secure in how to adjust finger position to correct problems.

The excercise is performed with a consistent pulse and correct rhythms.
