The Sample looks very good and is used at the edges with a continuous loop that would keep the edges from fraying.
French Knot

Needs Improvement

The stitch was not done correctly. Very noticeable.

The french knot was very loose and would not have withstood much use. Not very decorative

The french knot looked nice but the size was not consistent with being a decorative stitch.

The button is sewn on and looks like it will not come off easily, but was not sewn on as directed.

The button appears to be sewn on by going four times diagonally, then stitched diagonally the opposite direction. Their is NO shank.
