There is not reference to the article.
Emerging

There may be a reference to the article but it is not appropriate or not cited and embedded correctly. It may not add to or support the content in a meaningful way.
Proficient

There is a solid reference to the article that is embedded and cited in correct MLA format, but it is not sophisticated.
Excellent

There is a solid reference to the article. It is sophisticatetly embedded and cited in correct MLA format. It clearly shows the writer is engaging with the text.
Logical Order

The examples within the paragraphs and/or throughout the paper are not arranged in a logical order.
Emerging

The examples within the paragraphs and/or throughout the paper are generally arranged in a logical order, though some ideas may not be in an effective order.
