Myth Accuracy
Poor
Students' accuracy when showing their myth visually has many inconsistencies with the original. Names are altered or omitted, characters are inconsistent with the original, and the moral of the myth is unclear.
Fair
Students tell the story of their assigned myth in a mostly accurate way. All but one-two names are spelled and/or pronounced correctly, characters are mostly consistent with the myth, but the moral at the end is either unclear or different from the original.
Good
Students tell the story of their assigned myth in a completely accurate way. Names are spelled and/or pronounced correctly, characters are consistent with the myth, and the moral learned remains the same as the original.
Creativity
Poor
Students do not show an effort to make their visual representations visually appealing for the audience. The project shows a lack of color, props, and planning.
Fair
Students show some creative effort in their visual representations to enhance visual appeal. While an effort was made to make the project look nice, it is unclear how much thought went into the creativity of the project.
Good
Students show a strong creative effort by using lots of color, props, or art supplies to enhance the visual appeal of their projects. It is clear that time was spent creating a thorough project.
Demonstrating Knowledge
Poor
Students do not show a clear understanding of their stories because they include inaccuracies and are not express in an easy-to-understand way.
Fair
Students demonstrate an understanding of their myth. They know the story well and are able to express it in mostly-understandable language.
Good
Students demonstrate a thorough understanding of their myth. They clearly know their story well and are able to express it verbally when presenting their visual representation.
