French Skit
This rubric is designed for a performance assessment in which Gr. 7 students, in assigned groups, will use vocabulary, grammar and language convention concepts to present a given post-card 'en français', in a unique and creative fashion, and get their message across without the use of english.

Student somewhat demonstrates a fluency of the French language. Student often stumbles over words and misses or confuses his/her lines. Student often has to use note-cards to follow. Student's intonation/expression somewhat reflects meaning of lines.

Student presents an average demonstration of French fluency. Student stumbles over words at times and confuses his/her lines. Student occasionally uses note-cards to follow. Student's intonation indicates an understanding of what he/she is saying.
Excellent
Student presents an above average performance. Student has few to no issues with fluency. Student's intonation/expression indicates a high degree of understanding of his/her lines.

Student uses little to no props during the presentation as an addition to enhance his/her performance.
Fair
Student uses some props during the presentation as an addition to enhance his/her performance.

Student uses a sufficient amount of props during the presentation as an addition to enhance his/her performance.
Excellent
Student uses a substantial amount of props during the presentation as an addition to enhance his/her performance; in turn making the skit very entertaining!
Effort and Attitude
Poor
The student puts little to no effort into the skit and the group grade suffers because of his/her attitude.
Fair
The student puts forth some effort into the skit however, enthusiasm is lacking.
Good
The student puts forth a considerable amount of effort into the skit with some enthusiasm during his/her performance.
Excellent
The student is extremely enthusiastic to present his/her skit. The group highly benefits from this member!
Creativity

The student presents little to no creativity in his/her skit. Students work together poorly, preparation is unorganized, and/or takes away from the overall quality of the work.
Fair
The student's presentation is somewhat creative with much room for improvement. Students work somewhat well together, preparation is somewhat organized.

The student's presentation is creative and unique with some room for improvement.
Students work together with little or no problems, preparation is organized and acceptable.
Excellent
The student's work is very creative and unique! Students work very well together, preparation is exceptionally organized reflecting high quality work.
Participation

Did not work well within the group. A lack of collaboration is highly evident in his/her presentation.
Fair
Not all group member's participated according to the task. A lack of collaboration is evident in his/her presentation.
Good
All group member's fully participated, however, with room for improvement. Collaboration is evident in his/her presentation.
Excellent
All group member's fully participated and brought ideas to their group. Collaboration is highly evident in his/her presentation.
