Made accurate division of space	Exceeded expectations = A+ Grid lines were absolutely perfect in placement. The reference picture ratio and drawing surface ratio were matched exactly.The paper was divided into balanced and equal areas of space using the ruler. The grid lines were drawn accurately and very lightly.	Met expectations = A Divided the paper into balanced and equal areas of space using the ruler. The grid lines drawn accurately and softly.	Met most of the expectations =B Divided paper into grid, but they are not perfectly equal in spaces. Lines are slightly crooked or are very dark.	Met a few of the expectations = C The grid lines were present, but somewhat irregular and unsuitable for this project. Grid does not match reference picture.	Barely met the expectations = D Student did not use any grid lines on drawing surface or reference picture for this project. If grid lines are present they are very irregular.
Used grid to create proportion	Exceeded expectations = A+ Pencil drawing is perfect. Student followed grid on reference picture precisely to draw animal.	Met expectations = A Drawing matches the reference picture in all of the squares of the grid. Student drew box by box looking at lines and shapes to successfully recreate the reference picture. Met a few of the expectations = C Did not draw box by box. Drawing matches the reference picture in some of the squares of the grid. Some of the areas may be in the wrong order or missing.
