This rubric will evaluate the performance, preparation, and comprehension of the jury/bailiff in our "The Tell-Tale Heart" trial.

Student mostly completed anticipated evidence report prior to trial. Activities displayed limited use of text evidence and limited comprehension of the text.
Poor

Student does not appear to understand how to use text evidence AND/OR demonstrates a lack of understanding of the text.

Student took excellent notes on deliberation that focused on evidence; Student passed judgement based on the evidence presented and backed their decision with that evidence.

Student took notes but did not focus on text evidence. Student makes a decision but fails to back it up with evidence from the trial.
Poor

Student does not take notes. Student decision is not based on court evidence/text evidence.
