Criteria for Interviewing Skills
	Fair 1 pts	Good 3 pts	Excellent 5 pts
Language was familiar	Fair Questions used jargon without explanation.	Good Jargon was defined, but the questions had language that was unfamiliar to informants.	Excellent Specialized vocabulary, jargon, and other references to subject of interview were explained.
Questions were clear	Fair Questions were broad and confusing to the informant.	Good Questions explained with familiar language but didn't completely communicate what the researcher wanted.	Excellent Complex questions were not used so that the informant felt comfortable enough to share their experiences in the online classroom.
Open Ended Questions	Fair Questions could be answered with a "yes" or "no".	Good Most but not all questions were answered with "yes" or "no"	Excellent Questions led to discussion without "yes" or "no" answers.
Interviewer's neutral	Fair Leading questions were given constantly.	Good Some questions were leading and some responses of the interviewee were received as leading.	Excellent The interviewer remained neutral.
Questions generated answers	Fair Interviewee got off track and didn't stay on the main idea being researched.	Good Guiding questions were used but did not reflect the purposes of the interview	Excellent Great questions and guiding questions were used to keep the informants talking.All the research wasn't addressed but the majority of the research was addressed.
