I wasn't always sure on what topic you were focusing.	Poor You have little or no main idea. You did not focus on the topic.
CONTENT	Excellent You have three supporting details that explain the main idea (facts, examples, and reasons).	Good You have two supporting details that explain the main idea (facts, examples, and reasons).	Fair You have one supporting detail that explain the main idea (facts, examples, and reasons).	Poor You have no supporting details that explain the main idea (facts, examples, and reasons).
ORGANIZATION	Excellent You used three or more transitional words to make ideas flow. Your writing is in an order that makes sense.	Good You used two transitional words to make ideas flow. Your writing is in the correct order.	Fair You have little organization and ideas are not tied together. Your writing is not always in the correct order.	Poor No flow of thoughts are seen, but some ideas are mentioned. Your writing is not in order.
STYLE	Excellent You used MANY interesting words and sentences to make your writing creative.	Good You used SOME interesting words and sentences to make your writing creative.	Fair You used PLAIN words and sentences with some repetition.	Poor Your word choice or sentence structure does not make sense.
