Some relevance/correlation to the issue, but far fetched or too general.
Good
Good Relevance to issue. Clear statement.
Experiment Design
Missing
None given.
Poor
Makes no sense, random, no thought behind the set-up.
Fair
Apparent why you chose to do this lab, exemplifies curiosity, set-up o.k. but too broad/general with minimal relevance to the problem at hand.
Good
Good thought behind the set-up, shows detail and good relation to class topic.

Poor
Incomplete, too many assumptions, and/or lacking any detail.
Fair
I would have too many questions in order to collect the same results.
Good
Leaves no room for interpretation. Concise!
Data Collection/Display
Missing
None given.
Poor
Graph(s)/table(s) inconclusive, units incorrect or bad; data incomplete, too many errors, recorded in pencil
Fair
Graph(s)/table(s) conclusive-lead reader to an understanding of the observations, units conclusive/applied correctly; some error; recorded in pencil.
Good
Conclusive data, well organized, easy to follow collection of observations, units chosen wisely (give precise clue about overall outcome), recorded in pen, no errors. Table(s)/graph(s) beautifully laid out.
Conclusion
Missing
None given.
Poor
No critical thinking, shows no understanding of the purpose of the lab, I can ask "why?" and my question is not answered. Shallow.
Fair
Shows some critical thinking/understanding of purpose, not super deep, but I can see the brain started to go, but didn't get that far.
Good
Well thought out. Every time I ask "why?" there was a sentence to answer the question. Made connection to topics learned/covered in the Unit. If questions went along with the lab, they were answered fully and correctly.
