"Check for Understanding" Role Play "Check for Understanding" Role Play You will be put into groups and be asked to create a classroom situation where you would need to use the check for understanding strategies. After creating a short role play, your group will then perform your role play to the rest of the group. Good Students were on task for most of the planning time and developed a well thought out skit.	Poor Students were off task for the time of planning and didn't develop a well thought out skit.
Presentation	Excellent Students made a strong connection to the subject during the presentation or of the material and did so in a believeable manner. At least 3 strategies are demonstrated. At least one strong adaption for a formative assessment was included.	Good Students made a connection to the subject during the presentation or of the material and did so in a believeable manner. At least 2 strategies are demonstrated. One weak adaptation for formative assessment was included.	Poor Students did not make a connection to the subject during the presentation or the material was not presented in a believeable manner. At least 1 strategy is demonstrated. No adaptations for the included formative assessments was included.
Collaboration	Excellent All students in the group worked well together and participated in the planning process and performance.	Good Some students in the group worked well together.	Poor None of the students in the group worked well together.
Final Check for Understanding	Excellent The group developed at least 3 questions for the audience or developed their own assessment.	Good The group developed at least 2 questions for the audience or discussed a possible alternative assessment.	Poor The group developed at least 1 question for the audience and had no other assessment plan.
