DANCE PERFORMANCE
	LEVEL 1 Emerging Understanding 1 pts	LEVEL 2 Sufficient Base 2 pts	LEVEL 3 Headed for Mastery 3 pts
Knowledge movement/choreography 6 pts Ability to execute the movements. Correct placement of hands, feet, legs.	LEVEL 1 Not Yet: Posture was lacking, hands were not placed in the right spots, and steps were off.	LEVEL 2 Almost: Posture was pretty good, positioning was fairly accurate, and the steps were pretty close.	LEVEL 3 Yes!: Everything was right on. Looked more advanced than a group that just learned to dance.
Rhythm/Tempo 6 pts Ability to stay in time with the dance, and the music to an extent.	LEVEL 1 The pair attempts to keep a rhythm, but gets off beat and speeds up or falls behind often. Steps are not in rhythm at all.	LEVEL 2 The pair shows a basic understanding of tempo and beat, but on occasion falls behind and/or speeds up in places or makes errors in rhythm.	LEVEL 3 The pair is extremely accurate in shoing basic understanding of tempo and beat. Never falters on their steps.
Movements are Big 6 pts Making the movement visible to audience. (e.g. full extension of arms/legs, not shuffling steps)	LEVEL 1 Not really	LEVEL 2 Somewhat	LEVEL 3 Yes!
Shows Energy/Focus 6 pts Focused and intent on performing for the entirety of the dance.	LEVEL 1 Pair is not serious. Looking around showing little interest in performing.	LEVEL 2 Some energy and focus is shown throughout the performance.	LEVEL 3 Pair demonstrates high level of energy and focusthroughout the performance.
Pair Overall Performance 6 pts Did the performance demonstrate effort and preparation?	LEVEL 1 Dance looked as though the pair did not utilize rehearsal time. Not insync at all.	LEVEL 2 Dance looked like the pair utilized some of rehearsal time. Not quite together.	LEVEL 3 Dance looked as though the pair fully utilized rehearsal time. Solid performance.
