Submitted on time.
The paper contains one or more of the following:
good thesis;almost three (3) full pages typed and double-spaced; correct heading;
supporting ideas, even if not followed through in development;
good examples to support ideas;
written clearly with fewer than three types of errors in grammar, spelling, punctuation or usage.
Good/Average

Submitted late with documented excuse. The paper contains one or more of the following:
a working thesis; almost three (3) full pages typed and double-spaced; incorrect heading;
supporting ideas incompletely developed; examples, but they are not very illustrative; demonstrates a limit in comprehension of the subject;
written clearly with fewer than four types of errors in grammar, spelling, punctuation or usage.
Below Average/Barely Passing

Submitted with documented excuse.
The paper contains one or more of the following:
