	Poor 7 pts	Fair 7 pts	Good 6 pts
Theme	Poor Student does not mention theme at all.	Fair Student mentions theme but does not explain how it is present.	Good Student mentions theme and how the author showed it.
Characters	Poor Student mentions characters only by name.	Fair Student explains who major characters are but does not go any deeper than surface relationships.	Good Student discusses characters, both major and minor, how they are related and how these relationships change, are strengthened, etc.
Conflict	Poor Student does not mention conflicts.	Fair Student only mentions conflicts by name.	Good Student discusses how the conflicts are present and how the characters are involved.
Setting/ Plot	Poor Student barely mentions setting and basic plot elements.	Fair Student mentions basic elements of plot and setting but does not discuss them deeply.	Good Student gives all the pertinent information of plot and setting yet does it without explicitly stating "This is the ..."
Creativity	Poor Student showed little creativity and did just enough to finish project.	Fair Student did more than some but has areas that could be improved.	Good Student put lots of thought and time into their presentation.
Directions	Poor Student did not follow the directions given by the presentation guidelines.	Fair Student follows some but not all of the presentation guidelines.	Good Student followed all guidelines as directed.
