Symmetry Symmetry Student is to create a line of symmetry on a piece of paper using a mask. Students are to creatively decorate their mask using colored pencils, markers or any other artistic medium. Symmetry	L1 - Limited Not done as instructed, the mask is not symmetrical.	L2 - Developing Mask is more asymmetrical than approximate symmetry.	L3 - Considerable Mask is symmetrical or approximately symmetrical.	L4 - High Degree Evidence of an attempt to make the mask perfectly symmetrical.
Neatness	L1 - Limited Details are messy, the cutting has not been done neatly, the painting was done carelessly. You are encouraged to use class time wisely and try your best.	L2 - Developing Some details are messy, the cutting has not been done neatly, the painting was done with some care. Overall, it look like you tried, but you are continued to pay attention to detail in future projects.	L3 - Considerable Work is neat, most lines are symmetrical, the cutting and painting has been done with attention to detail.	L4 - High Degree Work is neat. All lines are symmetrical. Mask is cut smoothly and painted with fine detail. There is evidence the student challenged themselves with new skills.
Creativity	L1 - Limited No creativity, no colour is used, or the mask was incomplete.	L2 - Developing Little thought to creative ideas, coloured with just one colour. Shape was somewhat original.	L3 - Considerable Good ideas. Coloured with more than one colour, gave some thought to it. Shape was creative.	L4 - High Degree Excellent work- original ideas and good use of colours. Shape really challenged your skill - amazing effort!
Metacognition	L1 - Limited Evidence that you thought long and hard about your art work. You have provided a thorough explanation of your creating process and this shows in your art pieces.	L2 - Developing Evidence that you are able to think about your art work. You have provided a good explanation of your creating process. You have written some explanation of your creating process but are encouraged to think deeper.	L4 - High Degree You have not put much effort int thinking about your art. This critical thinking process is very valuable in making you a more confident creator and your art pieces much stronger. You are encouraged to practice this skill.
