Creature Design	Fair Student picked an easy and quick design. Student used an idea from slideshow instead of coming up with their own design.	Good Student chose a design thats creative, but could have added more details to make it "Excellent".	Excellent Student chose a well thought out design to add to the sculpture, something detailed and fitting for their creature and put detail into the final project.
Construction & 4 added elements	Fair Clay structure is messy and unbalanced in a way that demonstrates limited degree of care in construction and no attention to detail.	Good Clay is constructed nicely, but parts of the sculpture show roughness. Not enough clay features were added to meet the requirement.	Excellent Sculpture is strong, neat, and balanced in a way that demonstrates control of media used. Sculpture has at least four added clay features to the overall speaker.
Glazing	Fair Sculpture was painted quickly, and many spots were left unglazed. The glaze breaks the unity of piece	Good Sculpture is glazed satisfactory, and is covered appropriately. Glaze corresponds with overall unity of piece.	Excellent Sculpture was glazed carefully, neatly and appropriately. The overall piece is thoughtfully assembled in a manner that enhances overall unity of piece.
Craftsmanship	Fair Student wasted materials or used them inappropriately. Some parts of the sculpture were not finished.	Good Student made good use of the materials.	Excellent Student used materials thoughtfully and carefully or in an innovative way.
Time	Fair Student finished project late, or turned in an incomplete project. Failed to use class time wisely. Unfocused/talkative/distracted.	Good Student finished project on time, fully glazed and complete. Made good use of class time.	Excellent Student finished project on time, fully glazed and creatively completed. Made great use of class time.
