Table Tennis
	Beginning 1 pts	Consolidating 2 pts	Established 3 pts	Advanced 4 pts
Serve	Beginning Hold the ball palm up grip, unsteady ball toss, jerky strike of the ball	Consolidating Correct palm up grip, side on stance, steady ball toss, some element of control over the strike of the ball, correct rules of serve apply ( ball must bounce on your side, over the net and bounce in opponents side)	Established Correct grip, ball toss, side on start position, correct rule of serve applies, serve applied with greater speed and control	Advanced Server applies topspin, backspin, varying the pace and angle of serve
Consistency of rallies	Beginning Inconsistent hits during rallys	Consolidating minimal control of paddle and ball contact	Established confidence in paddle ball contact (solid contact with the ball majority of time)	Advanced Consistency of hits are proficient at contact with control hitting with spin
Forehand and Backhand Play	Beginning 1 stroke/paddle grip	Consolidating use of 1 grip with minimal use of 2 strokes (fore/back hand)	Established Comfortable with use of forehand and backhand during play	Advanced Player has developed proficiency with a favorite stroke overall for the majority of play. Can execute forehand and backhand shots incorporating spin if needed
Pace of ball during ralleys	Beginning Slow pace minimal footwork	Consolidating Medium pace minimal footwork	Established medium pace with varying speeds and elements of quick footwork	Advanced fast pace with or without spin with quick footwork around the table
