Overall Appearance
Excellent
The model is very clean looking and does not have excessive gaps showing or edges to the various construction material. Design makes sense for human occupation.
Acceptable
There are some minor defective pieces cut or glued onto the model. There are a few design problems.
Poor
The model has various things misaligned. There are materials hanging off the model and were obviously not attached properly. Design would not be habitual for humans.
Landscape
Excellent
Landscape looks natural and complements the building. Things are well placed and secure to the base. Appearance is neat and well thought out.
Acceptable
Landscape looks ok but not secured to the base well. Looks over-crowed or not enough material used. Appearance is ok but a some glue showing.
Poor
Almost no landscape looks neglected and does not complement the building. Messy with lots of glue showing not designed well.
Craft
Excellent
It is obvious that the team has taken time and care during construction. Cuts are straight and not jagged, there isn't an excessive amount of glue showing around parts.
Acceptable
Walls and paper are slightly crooked. There is moderate glue showing in. Materials may be only slightly misaligned.
Poor
Excessive dried glue around showing. Misaligned parts, or obvious mistakes.
Accuracy
Excellent
All wooden parts are strictly parrallel to each other and every space between each part is equal. All phases of construction are built according to written building techiques and have the necessary number of parts to be structurally sound.
Acceptable
All walls are strictly measured for spacing but framing for windows, doors, or corner bracing may be improper. There is one or two missing parts from each stage of construction.
Poor
Things obviously have not been measured for straightness. There are a few parts of the kit used, key elements needed are missing.
Finishing
Excellent
The models interior and exterior finish look like it may be applied to a actual sized home. Miro details like molding and exterior trim are afffixed to complete the model.
Acceptable
Detail moldings are missing. The window and door frames may not be finished, But interior and exterior finishes are appropriate and look generally good.
Poor
Many little details have not been included in the model.
Participation
Excellent
Each team member has participated in the construction equally. Based on absences from class and actuall classroom activity.
Acceptable
More than 3 days absent from class or tema members have to be told of what they need to be doing during classtime to complete the model only occasionally.
Poor
