color choices	Not Attempting 0-9 Student just picked random colors.	Beginning 10-16 Student picked specific colors but they printed in an order that makes no sense.	Proficient 17-18 Student had two to three well chosen colors in order from most intense to least.	Advanced 19-20+ Student went over and above assignment goal and used three or more well chosen colors.
reduction process	Not Attempting 0-9 The student did not reduce surface area in more than one step.	Beginning 10-16 Student did a reduction but they did not understand the concept and did not plan ahead.	Proficient 17-18 Student planned to reduce block in at least 2 steps.	Advanced 19-20+ Student understood the reduction technique at an advanced level and planned from the beginning for 3 or more printings.
creativity	Not Attempting 0-9 Student did not make an attempt at a design that was more than a crossed line.	Beginning 10-16 Students somewhat attempted to make a unique design but it was similar to many others.	Proficient 17-18 Students attempted to make a unique design but it did not stand out among the others.	Advanced 19-20+ Students utilized prior and new knowledge of design to create a unique stamp that no other person duplicated. The put a great deal of time into their design.
Neatness/Technique	Not Attempting 0-9 Students obviously did not take their time completing tasks. They are messy and they did not clean up.	Beginning 10-16 Students half way attempted to clean up but they have smudges and marks on papers.	Proficient 17-18 Students did their personal best to clean up but there are some places that are not perfectly neat.	Advanced 19-20+ Students took time to neatly print each page and there is no ink where it should not be.
Followed Directions	Not Attempting 0-9 Students did not follow directions at all.	Beginning 10-16 Students did not follow my directions and their margins are incorrect or they are missing one or more pages.	Proficient 17-18 Student tried to follow any suggestions and turned in all prints but had some errors with margins.	Advanced 19-20+ Student created a complete print series. They turned in 5 pages which were done with correct margins.
