Ready Position	Needs Work The student rarely has shoulder square to the target, displays little knee bend and tends to be off balance when striding forward.	Good The student is inconsistent and displays a few of the cues of knees bent, feet shoulder width apart, eyes on target, and object held in front of body.	Excellent The student always has knees bent, facing target, feet shoulder-width apart, eyes on target, object held in dominant hand (palm up) in front of the body.
Backswing	Needs Work The student displays minimal backswing.	Good The student displays a backswing most of the time, but is not consistently smooth.	Excellent The student always swings the throwing arm back smoothly in a linear fashion to produce power coming forward.
Opposition	Needs Work The student strides with feet should width apart and does not stride with opposition, or strides with incorrect foot.	Good The student is inconsistent with stride, sometimes starting with opposition already forward,having no stride.	Excellent The student always steps forward with the opposite foot, bring the throwing arm forward. The arm stays straight throughout the entire movement.
Follow Through	Needs Work The student tends to shorten the follow through, relying on a wrist flick to produce power and points away from target.	Good The student displays a follow through, but it tends to be away from target.	Excellent The student consistently has throwing hand follow through toward the target in front of the body with palm facing upward.
