Preparation	Poor Student did not spend time planning what they were going to put on ceramic and did not make a "rough" copy of design.	Developing Student spent some time planning what they were going to put on ceramic and produced a "rough" outline.	Accomplished Spent time planning the design that they were going to add to ceramic, produced a rough outline. Design is appropriate and student put forth some effort.	Exemplary Spent a lot of time planning the design that they were going to add to ceramic and produced a rough plan that they followed. Design is appropriate, detailed and it is clear that student put forth their best effort.
Use of Time	Poor Student did not use their time wisely at all even with repeated reminders to do so.	Developing Student needed frequent reminders to use their time wisely.	Accomplished Student used time wisely with several reminders to do so.	Exemplary Student used their time wisely without any reminders to do so.
Colours/Creativity	Poor Did not choose colours that were complementary, contrasting or harmonious.	Developing Chose colours that were somewhat asthetically pleasing.	Accomplished Chose colour combinations well. Ceramic is pleasing to the eye.	Exemplary Chose colours excellently. Ceramic is very pleasing to the eye and attractive.
Neatness/Effort	Poor Painting was very sloppy. There are many white areas of ceramic showing through and it appears that no care was put into the painting of the ceramic. It appeared that care was put into the painting of the ceramic.	Exemplary Painting was excellent, neat and detailed. It appears as if much care was put into the painting of the ceramic.
