Engineering Empires Comparison Poster rubric
Poster, presentation, and Fact Sheet rubric
The students will work to put together a poster for display. The poster will contain relevant information directly related to the comparison of systems of Engineering between the Egyptian and Roman Empires. Students will provide information relating to specific engineering examples from each empire identified in a creative and colourful poster. The poster will be designed on poster board (1/2 or full-sized poster board).

Poster is not very appealing. Limited use of creative materials. Limited use of colour/shapes/and other creative design elements. Most of the drawings/writing add to the visual effectiveness of the poster. Poster also contains limited information that is generated from the students own ideas.
Good Work
Poster is visually appealing. Use of a variety of creative materials, colour/shapes/and other creative design elements is evident. Student added drawings and/or writing add to the visual effectiveness of the poster. Poster contains information generated from the students own ideas. The poster shows the student spent time creating an artistic piece.
Excellent Work
Eye catching. Great use of colours, texture, shapes, and spacing on poster. Creativity is shown in every area on the poster. Writing is easy to read. Shows the student can express ideas through a visually appealing artistic medium.

Needs improvement
Poster is not on required poster paper and/or submitted late. Pieces/items falling or hanging off.
Fair
Poster paper is damaged and poorly presented. Poster was submitted later than original due date. Some items possibly falling off.

Poster is clean and neatly displayed. No items falling off. Submitted on due date.

Poster is of exceptional quality and presentation. Nothing hanging or falling off. Submitted on time.
