Story Music Composition 
Students will compose a piece of at least 4 voices and at least 16 measures that tells a specific story. Students must include a narrative of the story with their project.

The piece does not feature a smooth and melodic melody. It is unclear what the melody is, and the melody is "unsingable."

The melody is clearly present, but it often jumps around and makes it difficult to comprehend or remember.

The melody is present and easy to follow, but not very creative or musical.
Excellent

The melody is clear, easy to follow, and exceptionally musical.
Harmony

The harmony does not make sense with the melody.

Some of the harmony makes sense with the melody, but there are some poor chord choices and not much creativity.

The chords make sense with the melody but they are too "safe" and not very creative.
