Published Book Project 
The purpose of this assignment is to go through the steps of the writing process, including- brainstorming, creating a rough draft, revising/editing, and publishing a final draft. Each student will be given a bound book for publishing their final draft. They may choose to create a fiction story or to write a book on a theme of their choice.

Writing is difficult to read and understand. Contains several spelling and/or punctuation errors.

Illustrations are clear and colorful. They relate to and enhance the text.

Illustrations are present. They relate to the text.

Illustrations are lacking in detail and do not enhance the text.

There are few or no illustrations.
