The writer makes an effort to support the topic but sometimes sentences are irrelevant and incomplete. Ideas and details are predictable and basic.

The support generally addresses the topic, though some of the ideas are not specific to topic. Ideas and insights are predictable and basic.

The support clearly addresses the topic. Ideas are relevant and focused, and author uses personal insight and resources in order to go beyond the predictable.
Conventions

The structure progresses the writing. The beginning is inviting and the conclusion is appeasing. Transitions used connect the sentences and paragraphs of the writing at an appropriate pace.
