Use of Story Elements	Poor Uses only one of the three story elements (plot, characters, or setting) very well or uses multiple story elements poorly.	Fair Uses only two of the three story elements (plot, characters, or setting) very well or used multiple story elements in an average way.	Great Uses all three of the story elements (plot, characters, or setting) very well in an exceptional way.
Creativity	Poor Does not use a variety of colors, pictures, or drawings to protray the story elements in the story. There is also a lot of blank space on each page of the story.	Fair Uses a small, select variety of colors, pictures, or drawings to protray the story elements in the story. There is a decent amount of blank space on each page of the story.	Great Uses a wide variety of colors, pictures, or drawings to protray the story elements in the story. There is not a lot of blank space on each page of the story.
Grammar and Spelling	Poor There are many grammatical and spelling errors in the story.	Fair There are few grammatical and spelling errors in the story.	Great There are no grammatical or spelling errors in the story.
