Effort	Red Zone Effort is lacking. I fought to not quit. Attitude is negative and destroys my work ethic.	Comfort Zone Giving it a good try. Playing within my comfort zone of effort. Positive attitude, but having some issues with set backs at times. Staying on task all the same.	Leading Edge Giving it all my potential and then some. Positive attitude keeps me flexible when mistakes come along allowing me to push myself far.
Risk Taking	Red Zone Struggling to meet basic needs of assignment. Getting it done. Perhaps abuse of resources or no resources.	Comfort Zone Attention to basic skills, starting to branch out. Playing it safe. Perhaps resources used are followed too closely for ideas.	Leading Edge Shows skill beyond expectations of assignment. Taking risks. Resources only used in part to help with your idea.
Overall Success	Red Zone Some craftsmanship issues or effort affecting results. No real message to art.	Comfort Zone Style makes up for evolving skill to make a good project. Message communicates.	Leading Edge Skill and creativity in perfect balance to produce something that is skillful but playful. Message of artwork is strong.
Demonstrating Skill	Red Zone Drawing lacks shading, color or other way to demonstrate your knowledge of supplies. Drawing is complete but with many inaccuracies that leave it needing more attention.	Comfort Zone Drawing meets objectives of lesson by showing a strong use of chosen media. Drawing is good in capturing detail even if it has small struggles it is successful.	Leading Edge Pushing the edge with objectives of lesson in capturing details. Drawing is crisp and well done
Creativity	Red Zone Images don't relate to create a theme or combine creatively. Use of materials lack exploration of their use.	Comfort Zone The images work together well to create an image that is interesting or has a theme. Materials are use in creative ways to explore style	Leading Edge The way the two images work together and combine is highly creative. Or the way the media is used is expressive or original in the major creation of a style.
