Project Universe 
Research some aspect of the universe that interests you. It can be a planet in our solar system, a meteor, comet, a different solar system, a satellite, any space subject. Conduct research regarding the subject and write a two page fact paper, construct a visual aid and present the feature and facts to the whole class.

Contains most basic information and generally indicates minimal effort. The research is acceptable and most of the facts presented are appropriate. The paper is of acceptable quality.
Good

Contains all information required to convey the facts of the subject, but dose not add extra details to data. Indicates adequate research and effort and some interest in the subject.
Excellent

Contains all information required. Adds extra information to data collected. Indicates a great deal of research and effort and a genuine, high-level interest interest in the subject.
Presentation

Poor

Student is inactive during the presentation.

Presentation indicates the presenter is not familiar with the subject.
Fair

Presentation does not reach the student's full potential.

Presentation indicates the presenter is minimally familiar with the subject
Good

Student shows knowledge of topic and clearly communicates familiarity with the subject.
Excellent

Student is active and clear during the presentation.

The presentation clearly indicates understanding and a high level of comfort wit the subject.
Visual Aid

Poor

Student obviously put little effort into the visual aid.
Fair

Student put minimal effort into the visual aid. It was of little use in communicating information concerning the subject.
Good

Student put adequate effort into the visual aid and it contributed to the presentation's effectiveness and helped to communicate information about the subject
Excellent

Student put a lot of effort into the visual aid and used the aid to successfully communicate the subject to the audience.
