Short story is typed but wrong font or size. No title page.
Poor

Short story typed very poorly - no title page.
Point of View

Excellent

Point of view is clear, use of first person, or third person is easily detected by the reader.
Good

Point of view somewhat clear, use of first or third person is hard to identify, and there are inconsistencies in point of view.

Point of view is unclear at times, shifts in dialogue (first or third) hard for reader to detect. Reader struggles to identify point of view.
Poor

Point of view is not clear. Reader is unable to identify point of view at all in piece.
Climax

Excellent

Climax is clearly identified and holds the readers interest. Rising and falling action are clearly identifiable for the reader and there is an excellent flow between all three parts.
Good

Climax is somewhat identifiable and interesting. The rising and falling action compliment the climax.
Fair

Climax is hard to identify and the reader is not sure of its significance. Rising and falling action do not connect with the climax.

Climax is not present. There is no rising or falling action before or after.
