Meets Student demonstrates good evidence of the use of vocabulary pertinent to the subject matter. A few vocabulary words were used in the creative story.	Exceeds Student demonstrates excellent evidence of the use of vocabulary pertinent to the subject matter throughout the creative story.
Labeling of 3-D Model Label the parts of the Earth's interior	Needs Improvement Student labels little or none of the Earth's layers correctly.	Meets Student labels most of the Earth's layers correctly.	Exceeds Student labels all of the Earth's layers correctly.
3-D Model Create a 3-D Model of the Earth's interior	Needs Improvement The student has put minimal amount of work and effort into the 3-D model. The model is messy and the layers of the earth are difficult to identify.	Meets Student creates a basic 3-D model of the earth's interior that is somewhat creative and original. Average effort and work were displayed.	Exceeds Student creates a neat/attractive 3-D model of the earth's interior that is entirely original and creative. Hard work and effort are clearly displayed.
Grammar, Usage, Mechanics Writing uses common grammatical rules.	Needs Improvement Student followed the criteria for the most part and made 8+ errors in written work.	Meets Student follows criteria stated but made more than 5 errors in written work.	Exceeds Student followed exact criteria with no or few errors in written work.
