Comprehension - Fact vs. Fiction
Teams will demonstrate the ability to differentiate between fact and fiction as part of the problem solving process for a given scenario. (Debate-style team activity) Example scenario: Is genetic engineering valuable? Prior to the live debate, students will research and utilize resources to format the fact/fiction items that they will persuade the other team to accept. (Team 1 will argue, YES genetic engineering is valuable. Team 2 will argue, NO genetic engineering is NOT valuable.)
