Attempts to keep a rhythm, but gets off beat and speeds up or falls behind often. Doesn't follow beat in music. Music is not school appropriate

Shows a basic understanding of tempo and beat, but falls behind and/or speeds up in places or makes errors in rhythm. Music is not school appropriate

Generally accurate in beat, tempo, rhythms of dance sequences most of the time. Music is school appropriate.
Excellent
Shows a complete understanding of tempo and beat and stays on rhythmn throughout the dance. Music is school appropriate.
Cooperation
Poor
Little effort made to contribute to success of group. Is not attentive to others, or distracts others during performance. Not prepared and/little effort made on own appearance.
Fair
Cooperative most of time, but not attentive or well prepared. Needs to make more effort on appearance/ costuming.
Good
Cooperative with other performers and organizers. Ready to perform. Attention given to others involved in performance and own appearance on stage.
Excellent
Respect and consideration shown for other performers and organizers of performance. Prepared, well- rehearsed, appropriately costumed and attentive.

Little effort is made during the creatiion and performance of the dance

Shows some effort during the creation and performance of the dance.
