Home Work & Daily Assignments
This rubric is a guide for understanding the grading process for most formative work. All assignments start at a total of 9 points and the rubric criteria are averaged. Students will see a 3, 7, or 9 in IC. Some assignments take multiple days to complete and points will be increased accordingly.

Depth of Knowledge

Does the student show that they learned the concepts and uses/shows that new knowledge in written response.

Limited

Response demonstrate 10-20% accuracy.
Developing

Overall accuracy of at least 60%. Response shows some understanding of the concepts explored in the assignment. Has a limited use of unit's terms in their answer.
Proficient

Overall accuracy of at least 90%. Response shows substantial understanding of the concepts explored in the assignment. Has full use of unit's terms in their answer. There
are still some errors and/or misconceptions.
Quality

Showing quality in a student's work is an important skill to practice. All work to be graded will be 1) typed and printed off at the start of class 2) hand written on a clean separate sheet of paper.

Not printed off at the start of class.

Written work is correct answers, but missing shown work and or appropriate units

Attempts to meet the requirements of the problem.

Writing is not legible, items are out of order, paper is generally messy or stapled backwards.
