Active Involvement Is on task, focused, participates willingly and watches and responds to the teacher.	Unsatisfactory Does not participate appropriately during class; does not listen to the instructor; does not stay on task. Has cellphone out without permission.	Needs Improvement Participates very little during class; rarely follows directions from the instructor or stays on task during piano practice. Needs 4 reminders.	Satisfactory Sometimes participates, stays on task during piano practice, and follows directions from the instructor. Needs 3 reminders.	Well done Generally participates during class; stays on task during piano practice, usually follows directions from the instructor. Needs 1-2 reminders.	Excellent Participates willingly during class, with a positive attitude. Listens to directions from the instructor and follows them. Quickly and quietly gathers the day's materials. Stays on task during piano practice.
