	Level 1 Amateur 1 pts	Level 2 Apprentice 2 pts	Level 3 Learned 3 pts	Level 4 Mastery 4 pts
Main Idea Connected to text	Level 1 Main idea is not connected to the text.	Level 2 Main idea is not correct but is on the topic of the text.	Level 3 Main idea is correct but not in a complete detailed sentence that is connected to the text.	Level 4 Makes a detailed main idea using grade appropriate vocabulary that is connected to text.
Summary/evidence	Level 1 Summary is not connected to the text.	Level 2 Summary is close to being correct and is on the topic of the text.	Level 3 Summary has good supporting details that connect to the main idea of the text.	Level 4 Summary is explicit and has excellent details that support the main idea using own words.
