Prepare a Keynote presentation examining the lyrics to one of your favourite songs. Answer whether a song can have an impact on people, and give examples. Tell about why this song is meaningful to you, and examine theme, language, rhyme and rhythm and in the song. You are required to have the lyrics to the song in the Keynote, pictures of the artist or group, and a short biography of the artist or history of the group. You will also play the song for the class.

Students will create a video about their government

Students will be evaluated on the following criteria; Organization - commercial flows logically, Content - Commercial explains issue, Graphics - utilized, Eye Contact - focused on audience, Grammar- Correct, Clarity - audible

Centauri Band Students are expected to be punctual, be respectful during rehearsal/class, participate to the student's fullest potential, which includes the following: know their music and be prepared to rehearse, care for instruments, music, and equipment, and have the necessary supplies to required to study and play.

General Music Daily Participation Rubric

Used for pre and post assessments for kindergarten. Using the same rubric, while listening to a variety of music students will 1) tap the steady beat using icons as representation of the beat 2) use body percussion and/or marching to show steady beat 3) use a variety of rhythmic class room instruments to show steady beat.

This rubric is designed for assessing a sight-reading performance. Set for 40 points

Students will explore the history of a specific sport. They will research the sport and create a Google Slides presentation.

Scholars will play a piece of music on the keyboard to demonstrate ability on the instrument. ENI.1PE Read and perform with correct pitches, correct rhythms and printed dynamics. ENI.2PE Play or sing with a characteristic tone quality and perform individual pitches with accurate intonation.
