You will interpret the picture by writing about it using vivid imagery and sensory details. This will be typed and submitted for a grade.

Research the approved topic. Submit one 7-10 page typed paper, double spaced, 12 point font following MLA guidelines. Include a bibliography citing at least 5 resources used researching the paper. (use quotes from all 5)sources should include a news paper, professional journal, your text and two other books. Quotes can not be more than 5 lines. You are encouraged to interject your personal opinion into this paper. Paper will be graded on quality of research to support the topic, effective use of information gained through research, credibility of sources, content, grammar and mechanics, and bibliography.

This rubric evaluates direct quote usage and citation.

Compare and contrast 2 of the 6 stories that we read in the short story unit. You must compare/contrast how the authors use a literary device/s to convey the theme.
