Using a shoe box or other container, make a model of a scene from the book. The project should be complete to give a thorough understanding of what is happening, the setting, and the character. Labels must be included, using complete sentences and in paragraph form. Dolls, toys, or other props may be used but should not be the main focus of the project; use your imagination and creativity.

After reading the book, write a script interviewing one of the characters from the book. The final project may include more than one person, may be videotaped, or performed live. If live, be sure to practice as the other person's performance will be included in your score. Ask 10 questions to help the audience understand the book. Answer the questions in script. Perform the interview using 1 or more people.

After reading your book, create a presentation using any presentation software like PowerPoint. It should include all items in the rubric. The presentation should have between 7-10 slides. The class presentation should be between 3-5 minutes.

Make 2-3 puppets to use in retelling a scene from your book. Presentation should be 2-4 minutes in length. Puppets should be original and imaginative. Be creative and remember to practice your show!

After you have read your book, pretend it has been made into a movie. Create a poster advertising your movie. Be sure to include the setting and main characters.
