Student will design book jacket based on the book they have read. They will include a summary, description and illustrations.

students will explain how a character from the novel was a victim of bullying and what he did to overcome it. Opinions on how the character will deal with bullies in the future is needed and what the student thinks is the best way to deal with bullies now.

students will compare and contrast 2 pairs of characters from the past to the present including at least 2 similarities and 2 differences for each pair.

Students will create a book jacket including a cover, summary and a list of 4-5 characters with a sentence description of each.

Students will construct a collage in which all resources will be used to illustrate 10 events that occurred in the novel-INDIAN IN THE CUPBOARD.

Students will create at least a 25 word crossword puzzle about the novel INDIAN IN THE CUPBOARD . The puzzle must be the student's original work and should include some key vocabulary and ideas, characters, and details from the novel.

The student will create a poster with a planned Focus on a major Idea: A poster with information.

students will create a chart with your short term and long term goals as well as 2 of their classmates short term and long term goals displayed.

students will make a timeline showing 10 important events from the novel.

students will work conduct a television interview. One student will role play a character from the book and the other person will be a famous tv host. The interview will include details from Matt surviving the wilderness alone.

Students draw 2 scenes from the story. They must write one or two sentences explaing the scene they drew.

Students will create a poster to help them to better understand the different characters in GEORGE WASHINGTON'S SOCKS. This project is intended to better familiarize students with each character, as well as give them a visual representation of each character. Based on the character traits/descriptions from the novel, students are to locate and cut out people from magazines with similar qualities. They are to then write a paragraph description of each character.
