Objective: To create a semi-professional newscast that includes topics that have been previously studied in conjunction with topics currently being studied in Spanish II. The topics include weather, sports, leisure activities, parties/celebrations, current events in the Spanish-speaking world, current events within the local Spanish community, clothing, fashion, food, and music. Students will work in small groups to create an assigned portion of the newscast. Students will then help arrange the individual presentations to create a final whole-class production. Students will be graded on an individual work, group work, and the outcome of the production as a whole class.

La Rutina Diaria:Una Tira cómica (Virtual Comic Book) Rubric
Create a virtual comic book about yourself or imaginary self on a poster board, an appropriate digital tool (GoAnimate.com), or any other creative designs. You will create a storyboard of different scenes that depict your or a character's daily routine. Each scene must include at least one sentence with details and a neat detailed drawing, photo, or clip art depicting your or imaginary self's daily routine. You must use at least eight reflexive verbs. Two of them must be reflexive verbs that are not in Capitulo 2A: You must use at least three transition words (antes (de), después (de), luego, etc.). Moreover, you must use at least three time-related words like "Por la mañana, Por la tarde, Por la noche, Durante el día", etc. Do not lose this rubric because it must be turned in the day of your presentation.

Spanish 101 - Group Presentation
This rubric is designed for a Spanish group presentation performance assessment in which the students will be presenting vocabulary and grammar concepts from the entire semester. Students will present a dialogue demonstrating their understanding of the vocabulary and grammar points covered in the chapters in addition to any previous knowledge they have. Students are being graded both individually and as a group.

You must include a power point presentation (MS Office 2003-2007) or video(Movie Maker -Windows) or any other application used for presentations, have the class do some kind of reinforcement activity(game or worksheet), and develop and administered 20 questions quiz.

Semester FINAL Project: Spanish (Board) Game
You and a partner will create a Spanish game that covers what we've seen and done this semester! It must include 50 questions and answers in Spanish that range from easy to complex, and you MUST be able to answer them all for your game. ALL games are due the class day BEFORE finals so we can play them during finals and do 2 quick writing assignments (1 Spanish, 1 English). Do your 50 q/a FIRST and show them to me. Get creative with the rest and have fun!

Spanish video
Students will create a "Spanish video" that will be 3 to 5 minutes in length. Examples include: commercials for a game show, a newscast, a soap-opera, product, movie trailer, etc. The video must include each partner speaking 200 words of Spanish. All members of the team will contribute and participate in the video. You may use others for your video. The final script due 4/19 the video is due 4/25.
