Poster Based on Literature
Pretend your book has been made into a movie. Create a POSTER to advertise your "movie"(book). Your poster should be easy to read from 20 feet away. Be creative. AVOID: Do NOT copy the Book's cover...this will result in a grade of zero. Also avoid, sloppy picture and lettering, colors that do not work together, late work and lack of effort. Your poster should not have much white space--Include full heading on back of poster along with a short summary of the poster.

Weather Through The Seasons
Students will identify the 4 seasons and illustrate the different types of weather that may occur during each season. Summer - drawings reflect that summer is the hottest season of the year. Fall - drawings reflect an understanding that the weather gets cooler and that leaves may change color. Winter - drawings reflect an understanding that winter is the coldest season. Spring - Drawings reflect an understanding that spring weather is warmer than winter and that many plants may bloom.

Fantastic Fractions Powerpoint!
The final product that will be due is a scrapbook that will encompass everything learned throughout the fractions unit. Included in this scrapbook will be multiple pictures the students will take displaying fractions in their everyday life. Also the students will be required to complete summaries and short paragraphs for each of the pictures to demonstrate their knowledge of how everyday life relates back to fractions.

Students will practice using ratios and scale drawings by creating blueprints for their dream home.

Transformations
Student is to draw one of their initals in one quadrant of the coordinate plane and then use at least two of the three different transformations to move the figure to the other quadrants. The student is to explain what transformation was done, and how they did it. The next step is to draw the inital in the empty quadrant and then show the lines of symmetry or rotational symmetry. The student is to explain how many lines of symmetry there are. They are to label all the coordinates on the diagram on all four initials. Then they are to creatively decorate the inital using colored pencils, markers or any other artistic medium. They may use notebook paper if necessary for the descriptions.

The room must contain a bed, rug, dresser, T.V., window, poster, and desk. All of these objects must be placed in the bedroom. You need to calculate the area and perimeter of each object in your bedroom. Your drawings mus be accurate measurements as specified on your worksheet. The room must be accurate from the perspective you drew it in - and it must be creative!
