Addition and Subtraction of Integers, Using Two Visual Components in the Lesson: 1) Number Lines and 2) Visual Illustration of the Student's Choice. On Number Line Illustrations, green arrows mean positive and red arrows mean negative.

This rubric is based on students math notebook having these catagories: Class Notes, Classwork and vocabulary, Homework, and Assessment.

Students will be able to: plot ordered pairs to form a polygon label and identify the polygon identify the quadrant use formulas to calculate each polygons area label height and base(s) label with correct unit(s)

Student is to draw one of their initals in quadrant one of a coordinate plane and then rotate, translate, and reflect the pre-image moving the image into each of the other quadrants. The student is to explain what transformation was done, and how they did it. They are to label all the coordinates on the diagram of the three initials. Then they are to creatively decorate the inital using colored pencils, markers or any other artistic medium. They will attach a word document with their descriptions.

Create 2 box and whisker plots-one for each side in the war. Then, write a paragraph summarizing your information telling what the graph tells you about the war.

This is a combination rubric for use in a math class. We have both daily work and have at least one project per chapter. My students will complete the open criteria for projects together as a class.
