This rubric is designed tp assess the quality of your powerpoint presentation. You may choose any subject in regards to Food and Nutrition. For an 90-100 you must use 5 slides with animation, color, 1 picture and colorful background.

Student must create a food pyramid, healthy menu or nutrition labels analysis.

Students will choose a topic related to nutrition and diet therapy and complete an educational brochure for a selected population. For example, a brochure highlighting proper nutrition during lactation for breastfeeding or expectant mothers would be appropriate. Topic must be approved by instructor before beginning. Please see the attached rubric or the instructor for additional help. A total of 30 points (calculated at 20% of your final grade) is possible with this assignment.

During this unit the students will explore nutrition. The students will gain in their knowledge the ability to read nutrition labels,be able to classify foods into the 6 food groups, and understand the essential function of the heart, lungs, and digestive system.

Students will be expected to track their nutrition for one week. They will include: The food, portion size, nutritional value, and a nutrition planner for the next week.
