Solar System
Students will take their knowledge of the solar system and with a box make some kind of solar system layout. The planets should be in the correct order and be relatively proportioned to each other. The sun should be included as part of the solar system. All planets should be clearly labeled in some way. This is a project ment to let students show their creativity and let them show how they view the solar system. Students are encouraged to use color and decorate the entire box. This is worth a possible 25 points.

SCOPE It Out Book Report
Students will read a novel in a literature circle. For the culminating project, each student will create a SCOPE It Out book report . Fold your poster paper in half (hot dog style). Make four cuts in one of the halves to form five flaps. Label each flap with a letter from SCOPE. Under the S flap, draw and write a caption for the setting of the book. Under the C flap, draw and label the characters of the book. Under the O flap, describe the order of main events. Under the P flap, describe the problem and solution of the book. Under the E flap, draw and describe the ending. Put your name on the project. This is due Friday
