This poster will use four sentences that show the contrasting uses of ser and estar in Spanish.

Students compose a mini-story about themselves. Included should be name, birthday, physical characteristics, likes and dislikes, family/friends, hobbies, interests, vacation/career/or life plans. These sentences are to be typed in Spanish and submitted in the form of a booklet or power point presentation. Rough draft must be submitted in advance. Color illustrations, drawings or clip-art should be shown, relating to the sentences. Use of an on-line translator results in a zero score for the project.

You will be working on a skit with other students. Everyone in the group must prepare at least 10 sentences using the verb Gustar and the vocabulary words from Capitulo 1A.

Students will create an advertisement for a sale of clothing. Students must include at least 10 articles of clothing. Each article must be labeled in Spanish with the name of the article and the color. The price must be listed below the article in some form of currency from a Spanish speaking country.

Create a 6-8 page book of colors for children. Each page of the book must be dedicated to a different color. Each page must contain three items that represent that color, labels for these items and the Spanish word for the color.

This rubric is designed to address student's comprehension of Spanish spelling, numbers, months, colors, days, holidays and traditions.
