Students will write a letter to Santa using a greeting, body, salutation and signature.

Write a friendly letter to Patience Mills answering her letter to you. Remember to correctly use and punctuate all the parts of the friendly letter.

The learner will apply story retelling strategies by completing a story map requesting students to give a pictorial and written description of the beginning, middle, and end. (Standards: CC.2.R.L.5 & HI.2.R.3.2)

The student will summarize the story they are reading in their guided reading group orally in a podcast. They will watch a short tutorial on how to create a podcast and then create their own.

Students will make a paper doll from a half sheet of manilla tag using various arts and crafts material to represent traditional clothing from Canada, Peru, Tunisia, Ukraine, and India.

We wrote a descriptive paragraph about a scarecrow. We were expected to use our senses to describe it (sight, smell, sound, touch, taste).

Specific Expectation: Students will create a map of their created country. It should show the relative positions of landforms and bodies of water. It should have a title, show creativiy, neatness and be lableled or have a key.

This rubric is used to assess elementary students when using the Food Pyramid.

The students will put together a poster to show during their oral presentation. The poster will show a nutrition squad designed by the students containing a foods from an assigned food group.

Students will research two specific animals for classification. (1) One animal will be either a mammal, reptile, amphibian, bird, or fish. (2) The other animal will be a mollusk, insect, arthropod, or worm. Students will research their animals' classifications (KPCOFGS) and present their findings, along with a picture of each animal, on two 8 1/2" x 11" white sheets of paper. The project is DUE ON ___________________________.

This rubric will be used by the teacher to monitor students and progress of project.
