The purpose of this rubric is to give students the expectations for writing a comparing/contrasting essay.

The students will work on their own to put together a visual product for display. The product will contain relevant information directly related to the theme of The French Revolution. Students will provide information and demonstrate knowledge of: causes of the Revolution; key players in the Revolution; key moments in the Revolution; or any other student generated project that illustrates a level of mastery of the French Revolution.

The students will work on their own to put together a poster for display. The poster will contain relevant information directly related to the theme of Bullying/"Look At Me, I'm Drug Free"/Anti-Smoking. Students will provide bullying scenarios and demonstrate bullying mediation techniques in a creative and colorful poster/pictures or scenarios displaying a "Drug Free" individual/pictures or scenarios following a anti-smoking theme. The poster will be designed on poster board (1/2 or full-sized poster board).

Kindergarten students will create a book of colors by assembling atleast five different pages that include 5 colors.

Pretend your book has been made into a movie. Create a POSTER to advertise your "movie"(book). Your poster should be easy to read. Be creative, colorful, include a title, pictures, movie times, movie ratings and it must be laminated in some form. AVOID: Do NOT copy the Book's cover...this will result in a grade of zero. Also avoid, sloppy picture and lettering, colors that do not work together, late work and lack of effort. Your poster will not have white space---unless it is a part of the picture, a uniform, whites of people's eyes etc......

But, whatever assignment you choose must correspond to at least one of the course outcomes (1-6). This assignment must be between 3-5 pages and contain at least 3 credible references (100 pts.) Paper will be graded on quality of research to support the thesis, effective use of information gained through research, credibility of sources, content, grammar and mechanics, and bibliography.

Assessing reading comprehension on Proficiency Test

This rubric is designed for a French video presentation performance assessment in which the students will be presenting vocabulary and grammar concepts from the entire year. Their video must have two parts: La Vocabularie in which they present the important vocabulary in a creative way. La Vie in which they present a dialogue demonstrating their understanding of the vocabulary and grammar points covered in the chapters in addition to any previous knowledge they have from French 1. Students are being graded both individually and as a group. The skit must be videotaped and either handed to the teacher in DVD format or posted on YouTube by ________________.
