Shakespeare Character Journal
Students will receive a character to follow through the play. They will journal from that character's point of view. Each entry should be 3/4 to a page long. Include things like: Why does the character act that way? What is making them do this? What problems are in the foreseeable future? Stay in character and write whatever comes to mind. *It must be appropriate. Students will then write a paragraph on how they themselves reacted to what was going on in the play. Things to include: What is going on? Is this difficult to understand? Why are people reacting this way? **A character might not be in the scene, this is ok. Just write your reflection paragraph on each scene. There should be at least 5 character entries and 9 reflection entries.
