How does cultural knowledge shapes how we interpret the world around us? Research about a specific Spanish speaking country and prepare a multimedia presentation. Be sure your information is analyzed and rich in advanced Spanish grammar structures.

The following rubric is used in a group setting to test students.

Choose an artist/group from the 1960s and do a 2 - 3 page research paper with bibliography and a ten minute presentation on the artist/group including a poster that features a photo of the artist/group, group member names, biographical information(single artist) and career highlights. Presentation must also feature no less than three school acceptable musical examples of the biggest hits of the artist/group.

Musical performance grading rubrics

Assess musical project work in class, musical presentation and composer presentation.

An end of the semester paper incorporating the entire semester's worth of lessons in music theory and appreciation. The purpose is to encourage the students to write about and listen to music intelligently and deliberately.

Students will be able to create an original composition using Garage Band.
