This lesson covers making a mask with the idea of expressing characteristics of a character from Lord Of The Flies. Students will accomplish this by creating symbols through paint, color, and added materials while demonstrating the use of design to represent their character.Quotes and an explanation must follow.

Students will write, stage, and perform, and designed to demonstrate their knowlegde of literature concepts (plot, conflict, dialogue) and literary devices (alliteration, rhyme, hyperbole, metaphor, simile, etc.)

Research the approved topic. Submit 5 typed pages (12 font Times New Roman, double spaced) of the results of your research. Include a Works Cited page with at least 4 sources used researching the paper. Paper will be graded on quality of research, effective use of information gained through research, credibility of sources, and relevance of included information. Grade will be based on organization, clarity, use of transitions, appropriate voice, correct citation format, grammar, spelling and punctuation.
